Weblogs are becoming a part of life for thousands of people, even non-geeks. A few years ago, no one knew what the word “blog” meant. Now it’s hard to find someone online that doesn’t at least read weblogs.

I’ve tried blogging on and off for a few years now, and have been playing around with different software packages but have never really found anything easy enough.

I wanted to be able to blog quickly and get to the actual writing. I don’t want to have to have a huge learning curve with the software or have to enter a different markup for bold, italics and other basic text formatting. I also want to be able to customize the blog’s design and layout easily.

I am using WordPress for the last few days and it’s really easy to use. It even has a sidebar for Mozilla/Firefox (which is how I’m posting this message) so you don’t even have to go to your website and login, just click a link in your favorites.

If you’re thinking of starting a blog, I’d recommend looking at WordPress. It’s very easy to install and even easier to use.
