Below are my slides from my presentation “Invoke Change” at Web Afternoon in May. I somehow forgot to post these to the site back in May, better late than never I guess!

Although I have been taking a break from speaking, I have been open to the occasional speaking engagement if it was a good fit. When I was asked to speak at Digital Summit, I couldn’t resist. One of the largest interactive conferences in Atlanta with about 1,500 attendees, Digital Summit is dedicated to all things digital: social media, SEO, search marketing, analytics, e-commerce, mobile and general technology.
I will be speaking about e-commerce, specifically about how we have grown 2BigFeet.com rapidly over the last 5 years, doubling in revenues several times over. I’m really looking forward to speaking at the event, and am also excited about attending a few talks. The list of speakers is pretty impressive, representing companies like MailChimp, Twitter, Coca-Cola, Vitrue, CNN, ESPN, The Onion and more.
I’m also excited about seeing some Atlanta friends and colleagues I haven’t seen in a while like John Lawson and Jacqui Chew, who are also speaking at Digital Summit. There are only about 50 tickets remaining, so if you’re interested in attending register now.
Since Online Marketing Inside Out was released in June 2009, I have spoken about 40 times all over the country and internationally. I have spoken at small venues such as Chamber of Commerces and American Advertising Federation chapters, and at large conferences like SxSW and Blogworld, and everything in-between.
But all good things must come to an end and it’s time for me to take a (potentially temporary) break from speaking. While I have thoroughly enjoyed speaking at conferences and events, there are definitely downsides too. [Read more...]
Yesterday I presented two presentations at Digital Atlanta, a week-long series of events on social media and online marketing. My two presentations were 5 Ways to Integrate Mobile Into Your Marketing Mix and 10 Essential Strategies to E-Commerce Success. I’ve included the presentations below for anyone that attended.
