Does a bigger monitor increase productivity?

We’ll see soon enough. My boss’s new MacBook Air wouldn’t support his 30″ Dell 3007WFP so I got a hand-me-down (in addition to a newer and faster MacBook Pro). Here’s my new setup:

I’ll be testing it out for the next couple of weeks to see if it does in fact increase productivity. Still, it surely can’t hinder productivity and is cool so I like it either way.

I’m running dual 22″ at home and I can tell you for sure more screen = more productive. Or at a minimum it helps me do the things I normally do with greater proficiency. One huge monitor should do as well as 2, I think.

I always thought about going dual 30″ from dell or apple, but 3 20’s would probably be the biggest setup I’d want!

Yeah, I leave my email in the 15.4″ MBP lcd, so I’ve technically got two monitors :)

I can’t imagine having dual 30″ displays… I’d get whiplash from turning my head all day!

As a 13″ macbook user I feel cramped sometimes with the small screen, especially if trying to multitask. Spaces/multiple desktops helps with this a little but sometimes having more apps in the same space would be a lot more useful.
